About Ben’s Fund: The Ben Cote Veterinary Student Scholarship Fund was established at the Morris Animal Foundation (MAF) in 2007 as a lasting tribute to an 8-year old boy who made the world a better place through his advocacy of animals. Each year, Ben’s Fund awards research grants to the nation’s top Veterinary students to complete innovative studies in the areas of canine cancer, human-animal bond, and pet relinquishment issues. MAF is the world’s largest nonprofit foundation 501(c)(3) dedicated to funding research studies to protect, treat and cure animals.
